ABCA (American Border Collie Association)
The ABCA registers Border Collies and is a primary organization for breeding and registration of this breed in North America. The ABCA application is for the litter, with the breeder returning the registrations to the purchaser.
ISDS (International Sheep Dog Society)
The ISDS focuses on registering working sheepdogs and Border Collies, with a strong emphasis on their working abilities and breeding history. They publish a Stud Book annually, and their registration provides a pedigree tracing back over 100 years for many dogs.
